Have you tried Ed's code? If you have, you will see that it works.

The reason you don't see anything on the task bar is that it is not visible. You need to have your PROGRAM make it visible. You cannot test _SCREEN.Visible=.F. from the command window, all it will do is flash and become visible again. You MUST do it in code or with SCREEN=OFF in the CONFIG.FPW.
