Not to beat up on you, but the diffferent solution would also fail for leap day this year. In my first Computer Science in college, the final assignment was to generate a calendar. The instructor really gave us the solution with Zoeller's (sp?) Congruence. Been a wise-ass, I asked him if it was OK if I developed my own algorithm (I mean, really, he gave us the answer). So I've had a lot a fun fooling around with dates. You could use another method (other than GOMONTH() for this one), but believe me, it wouldn't be pretty. So...
