Thanks Dore, I've already been using FREAD to get past it. However, it's not documented about the CHR(26) which is frustating.

The biggest problem is I'm trying to validate a file that might be 750MB in size and then parsing it to send it to SQL server. We are outputting about 16GB a month from the data getting sent in.
