Also I would put a timer on the form and if the person is editing the record to long I would back them out

In fact I have a timer throughout my entire program where if they sit a any form to long 5-15 minutes the system will systematical back them out of the entire program

5 minutes - cancel edits
5 more minutes - exit form
5 more minutes - exit program
