Since this would rely on the adoption of the Gregorian Calendar (I believe), it would explain this behavior. Apparently, it uses 1752 because that's when it was adopted here and in Great Britain. Originally it was introduced in 1582.

1752, 1582, 1972 < g >, it makes no difference to me. I don't need any dates that far back to care. See, I *told* you I was too lazy to look it up. Thanks for the info George.
