Yeah, RV's are the lowest common demonimator. You can get them to work with
multiple backends and you don't need any special knowledge of things like TSQL. I agree, sometimes RV's are a better fit.

Yeah, but IMO performance is not only reason for going the SP route. Its seems to really help organize application development.
