I am a college student trying to learn VB 5.0 Professional. Maybe you can help me. I am trying to write a very simple FTP application. I need to add a cancel button to cancel transactions in progress (such as uploading a large file). I can not get the transaction to stop. I have tried:
1) using the Inet1.Cancel Method
2) Inet1.Execute "quit"
3) Having the cancel button set a variable "cancel_operation" = to true, and using a timer to check the state of the variable.
