That didn't do it. The combobox doesn't get focus by default(tabstop = .f.).

I did notice that if I put a KEYBOARD SPACE(0) CLEAR in the init this took care of the problem. The problem with this is I really don't want to clear the keyboard buffer, althought if push comes to shove I could live with it.
