We are attempting to convert our Accounting data from AccountMate Professional 4.0 (in FoxPro for DOS) to Visual AccountMate LAN 3.1 (in VFP 5.0). The conversion process starts in General Ledger, and we immediately get an error message "The current fiscal period does not match." We know this is a carryover from the Y2K changeover as the Professional version carried the period as "9912",etc.; we have been running AccountMate Professional all this year by using a Y2K conversion utility (shareware) at the beginning of the year. We have tried to manipulate our data to allow the conversion, but to no avail.

AccountMate no longer supports the Professional version, and says that we will not be able to do the conversion since we have used the Professional version in 2000. However, they did many data conversions for customers at the first of the year, and would be willing to convert our data now for a slight (ha!) fee. We are a FoxPro shop, but AccountMate really only give you part of the source code (i.e., no project, no objects, etc.), even though they say they give you the source code.

Has anyone else out there had any experience with this or do you have any ideas? We need to do this soon, and obviously could use some help.

Thanks in advance.
