Provincial mandate? Dude, you can't be serious: the government is telling you which tools you can use? Auggghhh....socialism at it's bloodiest.
Anyway, I have never had an application that I wrote in Fox migrated to anything else in almost 20 years. Seriously! But I have had some applications that were DOA: The needs changed so dramatically that the client decided not to implement my application and we had an amicable parting.
In those cases, though, I did feel depressed. I mean, it's like you were an artist whose commissioner died so you're left hanging the portrait in the basement.
