I have an application that sits on a user's machine, and other user's map to that user's machine and use the same application. It was discovered, since this is a WAN setup that someone else from the "outside" was going in and opening tables exclusively, in the process giving errors of "file access denied" to the other users. Our solution was to share to main application drive with a password. But is there a way to put in a password in the desktop icon to login to the application drive? Or is the fact that when they logon to their own station since they are mapped to the application drive to password screen will pop-up? (Microsoft Network)
