We have an app that has a different directory for different companies. One for Ibm, One for Xerox, ...

We have centrally located code that simple sets the datapath to the correct companies. The code works basically the same for all different companies.

Now each company has a Dbc in the directory that is named the same. To complicate matters, we are running West-wind with multiple Com servers. In a couple of places I want to use the database to pull captions and comments out of the data.

Each hit generates a new data session.

The problem is that I am attempting to use "Set Database To" but it appears that the "Set Database To" is not respecting the data session. There are times that I am setting Database to a database in another data session.

In one piece of code I issued a Set Database To and then a close databases but the database in question did not close, because it was in anohter data session. The only way I was able to close it was by setting changing my data session to that session which help the database I was trying to close.

Is this a bug? Is this as known bug? Has anyone else experienced these problems and is there a work around?
