Hi, Mark!

I've never seen such ActiveX control. Maybe because it is easy to make by self?

I made such functionality by self using programming in VFP (and only VFP, that is the most interesting!).

The general idea is following:

Put 8 shapes over the image control and hide them. In process when you select object show them repositioned properly as you see it in VFP. Than allow user to drag each of these little shapes that will resize it when shape dropped. You can also set up mouse cursor properly so mouse will show resiaing arrows as it looks in VFP designer. Finally, when you need to move your objects, cover them by invisible shape that will be used to drag and drop control.

Of course, above require some programming.

HTH.

>Whenever you create a "shape" (such as a rectangle) on a VFP form, the form builder gives you a nice frame with grippable handles for resizing and moving the shape around.
>
>I need something just like that at run time so that the user can draw a cropping frame over a portion of an image.

>Can this be done? Does anybody know of a commercial OCX that will provide this functionality?
>
>Thanks very much.

The professional level of programmer could be determined by level of stupidity of his/her bugs

It is not appropriate to say that question is "foolish". There could be only foolish answers. Everybody passed period of time when knows nothing about something.
