Hi John,

What's insane about it? AFAIC 1 Jan 0001 *is* a strict interpretation of 1/1/1. I think the different range limitations for the date functions only can hurt you if you are using ambiguous dates.

>GOMONTH() must result in a date starting 1 Jan 1753 or later.
>DATE() must result in a date starting 1 Jan 100 or later.
>Strict date format ( {^1/1/1} etc ) starts from 1 Jan 0001.
