I used it pretty successfully in an ecommerce framework app I wrote a little while ago. I had an app with a full window size of 600x400 made up of several semi-modal forms and a treeview on the left side for navigation. It looked like a web page, especially after a web designer got ahold of it and tweaked the graphics. :)

I think they're great for intranet apps (was going to do an intranet-launchable time tracking app in it) and for apps that live on the machine that you want to keep the same look and feel of the browser.
