Things like screen savers or anti virus software can be setup to activate after a prolonged period of inactivity. It could be a conflict with one of these programs that is hanging the VFP application. Check and make sure no TSR type programs are running and then leave the system alone for a while and see if it hangs. If it does try adding each TSR back one at a time and do the same test to see which one it is and stop using it in conjunction with VFP6.
