I've tried to use phd("phdLoc") and phd("cdxLoc") but without success. Is there anything I'm missing? If you think this would be a useful addition to phdBase, could you bring this to Jim's attention?

I'm sorry but I don't think this could fit. At later time, if Jim releases a new version, there you might send him the suggestion. For now, we're just lucky enough that he'll try to put some time in trying to solve the memory problem. I've been told that he still want to continue to go ahead with PHDBase but at this time, he's over loaded. So, later on, your suggestion might fit in the list of enhancements.
