JVP
So you want me to restate the rebuttals to your security/"granularity" issues, and you want to de-emphasise the performance issues you have previously raised high. You do this in combination with a suggestion that I have avoided your arguments.
Your security concerns have been rebutted. It is simply incorrect, even with spurious "all SAs are fools" rationalisations, that RVs cannot be secure. The arguments have been stated over and over and I'd rather you reviewed the thread history than demanded a recast.
Your maintenance issues are arguable. I for one find having to maintain 3 different versions of SPs just so that I get "easier maintenance" and avoid the dreaded RV... well, it just doesn't make sense. To me. If you find it easier, that's fine, it is a "preference" issue.
But in that case you still need to justify why you called VFP's Remote Access "lousy", which is what started all this.

"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
