Shawn,
I have a Mac VFP3 (the latest version - and out of support) app running along side my VFP6 one - so it is POSSIBLE.
Having said that - I will be moving to other alternatives for the Mac as soon as I have time. Issues include:
1 - IDE for Mac is
BUGGY - I crash every tem minutes. trashing preferences file often seems to help
2 - Slower than the hills - although acceptable on newer macs.
3 - none of the features intoduced in VFP5/6 obviously
4 - weird bugs at runtime - doesn't like "empty" hooks - I had to put Return .T. in everything even if it didn't have other code.Grids are awful.
5 - no support, lack of ODBC drivers for MAc (for C/S), etc.
If I were starting from scratch - I'd look at a web solution. Also, we have actually had very good success running the Windows emulators on the mac. I'm not currently up on what's the latest/fastest emulator. Virtual PC maybe?
