There is a way, but it requires going into the registry.

I read an article about it in a PC World magazine. I think it was in one of the sections near the end of the mag (Tech Tips or something). It was about 4 or 5 months ago I think. Try going to PC World's WWW page and see if you can find the article. I checked my files...for some reason I didn't photocopy the article...

While it seems to be a bad idea in general, there are times when disabling the login screen is neccessary. For instance, lets say you have a machine running a communications program 24 hours a day, 365.25 days a year. If the power goes, the UPS drains, and the machine shuts down...then the power goes on...you would want the machine to bypass the security and go directly into the GUI and load the program.

Sorry, I can't be of more help, but if PC World was correct, it is possible.
