I have a couple question about this imrovement:
1. Why member info is placed between file # and file description? Logicaly it dosn't make any sense.
2. Why member info is in separate column reducing room for description column almost in half?
>It seem that your wish was quickly implemented. Not only the name of the author is back, but we also have his picture!
>I was just looking at the "What's New" button and saw a buncha file posts that looked intriguing and then realized that I had no idea who had posted what.
>>
>>I have brought this up before: the pedigree of a file is important to me at first glance. I shouldn't have to go into a subscreen to see who posted what -- it's inconvenient and an insult to the author who should receive 1st page banner recognition for his or her contribution.
>>
>>When is someone in UT management going to buy a clue about running a service site? This is ridiculous; the new format for Files and "What's New" makes it look like the contributions appeared out of the blue. This is an extreme disservice to the author and user. If I spent hours and hours on something that I distribute for free, that ultimately benefits the UT in recognition, then I want the goddamn author credit along with the file name.
