>I don't keep these due to perceived value (well, most of these) but for lack of something to do with them. I have several obsolete systems laying around (8086, 8088, 386sx, 486sx, Pentium 100) with numerous monitors (2 13" monochrome, 1 .39dp VGA, 1 17" SVGA that is dying). Who knows how many modems (300 baud, 1200, 9600...). Disks and controllers for MFM and RLL hard drives. Who knows what else! Great, thanks for reminding me! *grin*
You're right, it's lack of knowing what to do with this stuff. I guess I meant value in the sense that we spent not-insubstantial amounts of money on it in the first place. I forgot about the modem collection - remember when the 9600 baud barrier was broken and 14.4Kbps seemed *fast*?
