I just tested this and it worked for me. However, what I discovered was that the field type in the SDT Database Explorer showed as Character rather than Character(Binary); it shows correctly in the SDT Extended Table Designer and the VFP Table Designer. So, it appears to be a display bug; I'll fix it in the next update.
