Try www.greatdata.com. We have subscribed to them for the full six-digit database and although I can't lay my hands on the price, it wasn't the 10,000 that you'd have to pay the Canada Post people (who will want that for every distinct application that you plan to put up on your website).

I have a table with just under 400,000 records - one of the fields has the postal code. I'm looking to find a data file that contains information related to the 'forward sortation' portion of the postal code (the first three characters).

Any ideas on where I may be able to get my mitts on one of these files (by the way, I had a cursory look at the Canada Post website all I could find was a $2,000/year subscription for this type of information - I'd like to think that it could be had for less than that). TIA.
