I prefer using TableUpdate() and TableRevert and buffering, but the guy I work for is from the old school of FoxPro for Windows and FoxPro for DOS and wants me to use the old commands in our applications on our multi-user network such as SCATTER...GATHER...IS EDITING = .T. OR .F., etc. NO BUFFERING ALLOWED. He hates buffering! Sometimes it makes me want to pull my hair out. And I can't argue with him. He's always right, if you know what I mean.

If he hates buffering he probably despises the DBC, right?
He is using buffering, it's called the "Bruce Willis" buffer mode!! (Last Man Standing).
Let's hope there is never a conflict with to operators changing the same row at the same time.
You know, the classic bank balance problem.
His approach isn't "old school", it's stupid. I'm from the old school (coding since 1968) and we never did stuff that way. Our big goof was the two digit year. But hey, drum space was expensive, and in 30 years we'd have colonies on the moon and the mars.
