>>Hi Everyone,

>>I'm working on a pilot project using the DreamWeaver UltrDev web application development tool and am trying to use a VFP database. I have the ODBC connection named and it tests fine. DreamWeaver however insists on putting a "." between the database name and the table name where VFP likes a "!". For creating recordsets (uses ADO), I can edit the actual SQL statement and put in the "!". For Inserts, I'm getting an error when trying to select the form columns for trapping user input for the insert statement. I don't even know if it has to do with the "!" or not.

Hi John,

Nice to chat with you again. In creating recordsets, I noted the "advanced" option for writing the SQL. No problem there, retrieval works OK. But I don't note the "advanced" option for creating Inserts, updates, or deletes which means I can't seem to get to the code to write. A bogus workaround, but I wouldn't care if I had to write the SQL. Just can't find the place to do it for things other than retrieval.

I'll let you know what I come up with. Last night was my first night working with it so I have much to learn.

Steve
