Did you restore it yourself?

I'm asking becuase my husband has a 58 corvette that his father gave him back in the early 70's (he's the third owner). He always talks about restoring it, but after 12 years of marriage, it's still in storage! I think he's afraid that I'll want to drive it if it's running < vbg >!
