Those aren't electrostatics, they're planar magnetics, but still excellent speakers.

Don't do that, you'll be extemely unhappy! A conventional woofer has too much delayed resonance to blend in properly your Maggies. Maganapan at one time offered a panel subwoofer. Check with them, they may still offer it.

Experiement with room placement. Since they are dipoles they radiate both front and back. You may be able to create a low frequency standing wave in your room that gives the sensation of a little more bass.
