This isn't a game or a contest. Nobody "wins" anything here.
You haven't answered my question. I asked you to include "easier maintenance". You can't, because writing "data access classes" that have to manage both remote and local access is harder to do and maintain than using a RV where the amount of code to maintain between different backends is... zip.
