That is exactly what I just described to you, now I'll tell you why stats are better.

(1) Diaphrams have much less mass. In fact, they have less mass than the air they are trying to move resulting in better damping.

(2) Electrostats are symetrical push pull and better control the motion of the diaphram. The maggies are single ended.

I could go on and on about this one, but I'll stop here.
