I am a universal subscriber, and MS has notified us that the NET beta will be in the November shipment. One thing that caught my attention at the Microsoft Site, is the "recommended configuration" of a PIII, 733, with I GIG disk space. That tells me that ver 7 MUST be a REAL resource hog, even more than FoxPro of old.

If Ms has integrated the applications in studio, much like they have integrated applications that come with Windows2K, it well may be impressive, but somehow I have the suspicion that it will be service pack 3 or more, before we can use it for production.

I just wish there was a utility (maybe I need to write it my self) that will delete or gut all the extra hidden files that Wondoz (and maybe NET0 will be prone to generate and then just sit around taking up space.

And here is Office Depot advertising an IDE 70 MEG hard drive for $279. whew!
