I received a reply on the UT to use SET ESCAPE OFF. I put this in BeforeOpen Tables event in my dataenvironment and now the message does not appear.

THANK YOU!!!! This has been driving me crazy for a month. I only have one case in the entire application where the user might need to press ESC, so it will be a little easier to go back and add the fix.
