>I have a client running an app written in FPW 2.6. The application has been running flawlessly under Win 3.1. Recently they updated their OS to Win95. Now I am running into the intermittent situation of READ controls (check boxes, command buttons, etc.) freezing the application. When a user enters a screen sometimes the various controls work fine; other times everything halts. I end the task and restart the application and the same thing happens again. It happens on different screens; it happens with different controls. There is no pattern as to the number of contols accessed and in what order. It appears to be a totally random scenario.

First try the app on another Win95 machine that is working flawlessly for at least a month.
I experienced something like this and tried the app on another Win95. It worked fine. I erased the runtime lib and copied them manually. Then the problem vanished. But the Esc key doesn't toggle between apps in taskbar - Alt+Esc does so think of a faulty installation of Win95 or hardware (check for EMM386 and VGA driver especially - try a clean boot). And also think about viruses.
