The ProMatrix Corporation is pleased and proud to announce that it is one of the initial members of the Universal Thread Partnership Program. The ProMatrix Corporation is the developer of Visual ProMatrix, the premier application wizard for Visual FoxPro.

What this primarily means to the users of Visual ProMatrix is that they now have a forum for communicating with other Visual ProMatrix users that is structured as an Internet conferencing system.

Thanks to the pioneering work of Michael Fournier, the Universal Thread has quickly become the number one Visual FoxPro online communications system throughout the world. More FoxPro-related messages are posted daily on the Universal Thread than on any other online forum.

I have personally monitored the Universal Thread since its early development as a FoxPro messaging system, and I have been very impressed with both its technical progress as an Internet communications tool and its acceptance by the FoxPro community. Michael Fournier has turned the Universal Thread into a state-of-the-art Internet communications system.

The ProMatrix Corporation will use the Universal Thread as a forum for communications among ProMatrix users and non-users. Visual ProMatrix users will have a dedicated forum with an Internet conferencing format that can be used in lieu of the ProMatrix Developers forum, an Internet mail list. Folks who are not yet using Visual ProMatrix can use the forum to learn more about Visual ProMatrix.

In time, we may replace the ProMatrix Developers Forum with the Universal Thread forum. We would like your feedback on whether Visual ProMatrix users think the Universal Thread conferencing system is a better communications medium than an Internet mail list like the ProMatrix Developers Forum.

If you are a Basic member of the Universal Thread, you are eligible for a 5% discount on your purchase of Visual ProMatrix or any ProMatrix product. Premier members of the Universal Thread enjoy a 10% discount. The additional 5% discount available to Premier members will pay for a Premier membership if you do not already have one. This discount program takes effect for purchases on August 7, 1997 and later.
