One of the problems I ran into was similar to Adam's: my customers need to change there logo on various reports. They are using .exe's, so I don't want to include the bmp's in the built exe. They (100's of them) will be installing to whatever the heck directory they want, so hard-coding locations of the bmp is a NO NO. Thanks for the great idea, tried it, it works, you knew that! MSDN was no help, we all knew that! Looks like I'm going to have to keep on checking in.

Glad I could help! I would definately recommend hanging out on the UT on a regular basis. I've picked up so much just from reading the posts from others as well as searching past history, files and articles.
