I now work in an Oracle shop. Here's what I've been told.
Oracle Forms is on the way out. Anything new should be done in Oracle/JDeveloper, which is Oracle's Java development kit.
So if you've not worked with Oracle, you would have 2 products, Oracle and Java to learn.
