>Thanks for your answer. I started trying to do this, because I wanted to allow users to add items to a combobox. I suppose this has to be accomplished by popping up a form to add data to a table and then requerying the combobox. Is this correct or is there a better way?

Yes, this is the usual way. Also, you might want to take a look at my "Combo/Listbox RowSourceType 10 - Text File" class (file#
9680 in Files section/Classes-VCX) You can just drop it beside your combobox, set a couple of properties and play. It uses a text file (which can be edited in Notepad) as a data source.
