I recollect a VBX/OCX written about 4 years ago which did precisely that. I can't recall the name, unfortunately. I think it was something like "English Wizard" -- with a caped Merlin pointing his wand over the input. However, a review of VB resources or posting on an active VB board might identify that and others.

If you find it, of course, you have the issues of (1) will it run in VFP, and (2) what modifications may be needed to convert the SQL syntax it generates with the SQL subset of VFP.

Alternatively, you could use SQL Server services and query Fox data directly, if this is feasible. It seems that MS is trying to make the SQL Server platform one which provides services independant of database back end.
