Kevin,
I mean that you cannot make an estimate on their load speed when network transfer is also in question. An individual table might open in 5 seconds where 3 views open under a second at times where network traffic gets high-low. Sometimes it takes to transfer a 100 bytes file seconds from a network. There are a lot of factors contributing it.
None of my local tables+views took more than few seconds to open so I never tried to measure timing. IOW you might be right on that.
