Hi All,

I have a user on my small network Novell 3.12) who received an e-mail from a business partner that had some kind of "Kak" worm/virus. He's using a new Dell laptop in a docking station while on the network (we have an isdn line through a cisco router which connects our network to the internet).

This error message popped up while the laptop was booting up:

"Registry Error"
Kak.reg error opening file. There may be a disk or file system error.

The user can click the "Okay" button and his laptop will then complete the bootup process but it needs to be addressed.

Has anyone seen or have experience with this type of message. He wants me to go into the registry and delete any reference to "kak.reg", but I'm concerned that that may cause even more problems.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jim Harvey
