I'm actually working on something similar right now except I have several single table updateable cursors per datasource. IOW, each source shares the same connection but I have a separate connection handle for each source stored in an array with the connection string. There may be as many as 15-20 different database sources involved by the time the project is finished.

Typically, I don't use predefined views for anything other than to look at and analyze data in the VFP development environment.
