This is pretty much based on the Editorial at http://www.devx.com/upload/free/features/vbpj/2000/11nov00/en0011/en0011.asp Its funny how VFP programmers are accused of not wanting to change, but that editorial says the exact same thing about VB programmes.

VB.NET compiles to the same IL as C# and VC++, so its not like any product has a performance or specialized edge over each other. MS says that VB.NET is available so companies can protect their VB investments, but we've all heard that most code written in VB will be useless in VB.NET. So how much is it really protecting anything?

It almost seems like a poor use of resources at MS to even move VB up to .NET. Is it just me, or is the Visual Studio is turning into less of studio and more into one product with 3 or 4 different "skins" for the syntax. And that will be even more true if VFP turns into VB.NOT/C#. Doesn't seem worth the price to only by one product.
