Mike,

>You'd attend an entire session on comparing one product you don't use to antoher you do?

Sure, because in the consulting world, I am often asked questions by customers or potential customers about the differences between product X and Y. I try to learn strategic material about lots of topics, even if I'm not yet using them, to be better prepared for strategic decision-making and consulting.

I also suspect that in a session comparing SQL Server and Oracle, accessed by a VFP front-end or VFP-based data classes, I would learn SOMETHING useful to immediate projects that don't currently use Oracle. IOW, you can learn important stuff from seemingly unimportant sessions IF you are a good listener.

>Besides, its not really a VFP topic, since SQL Connections is going on at the same time, that would be a better chioce to have an SQL vrs. Oracle session.

It is relevent, IMO, if the differences are explored in context of how to access those backends from VFP, where the differences are very relevant.
