>>Anyway, thanks for the info. I'm not about to try and setup my P200 with Win2K just to test this. Especially since I haven't been paid yet.< s > Besides, if I did that, I'm not sure that my son's games would run.;-)

>Hey George, go ahead and do it! You might be surprised! I put W2K Server on my old P200 that used to have W95 on it, and it now boots up more than twice as fast (~1.5 minutes for W2KS vs. nearly 5 minutes for W95).

>Since I'm not running apps on it, I can't tell if it actually runs code any faster or not, but the damn thing runs everything else faster, too! When I was running W95 as a file server (sheepish < g >), it took about 40 seconds to open a VSS controlled VFP project, and under W2KS, it now opens the same project in under 6 seconds. Keeps the old box alive for awhile longer, for sure.
I think I'll keep Win98 on it. There's a new machine in my future. I'm waiting for the P4s to roll out. I'll keep thing the way they are, so that my son (who'll get the old machine when I get the new) can keep playing his games. I'll try to scare up another swappable drive for here at the office and load Win2K on that. I supposed to be getting a 733 for here, maybe I'll wait 'til then. Thanks for the info, though.
George
