>I don't want to start a political discussion, so _please_ don't post reasons why I should vote for your favorite. I'm just looking for URLs. I'm hoping to find something better to base my vote on than political commercials. :)

Yes, please do not use commercials or newspaper endorsements, they're about the worst possible source, except for listening directly to biased individuals. I trust some of the links helped. I've had a tough time sorting it out too - unless you're "one of the party faithful" it's not a simple choice - some pros & cons with each candidate.

BTW, I noted last night some objective pundits discussing that the possibility of a "split-decision" has increased much more recently, according to the most recent polling. This is the scenario where Bush wins the popular vote, but Gore wins the electoral college (by sqeaking out narrow wins in certain states like FL, PA, and MI, for example, where he's marginally ahead).

Still not too likely, but by no means impossible. And wouldn't that be a fine-feathered mess... They showed a newspaper headline from 1888 or whenever the last time it happened, it said:

"Loser Wins!"
The Anonymous Bureaucrat,
and frankly, quite content not to be
a member of either major US political party.
