>>No, Bill, it isn't. Option Base is one way of affecting the the lower bound of the array. You can also Dim myarray(3 To 5) and create an array with a lower bound of 3. It's one of the reasons for the existence of the LBound() function.

>Hmm, learn something new every day. <g> Haven't really USED VB in a couple of years. Will be looking at VB.Net when it comes out though.

I don't do much in it either. I think the last thing I did in it was a test program calling a VFP COM server. Years ago, I did a lot of stuff in Quick BASIC, and Option Base was available there, as was the syntax on the Dim statement. I remember it from there (Sheesh. I haven't worked in QB in at least 11 years< s >)

>>BTW, how's the weather up there? Haven't seen a long range forecast, but I'll be arriving in Chicago on Friday.
>Well... Not very November-like. (Maybe there IS something to Global warming. I'll let you know in December. <g>) Today it's raining high in the mid-fifties. Tomorrow, rain ending, high in the mid-sixties. By the end of the week? Come on! This is Chicago <vbg> If ya don't like the weather, wait, it'll change!

< bg > Perhaps I've been down south too long. I'd heard it was a bit warm for this time of year. It's been that way here too. 60s-70s. I should've known better to ask the weather in Chicago. If it actually turns out the way the forecast goes, it's pure coincidence.:-)
