>>I have a view that is based on a number of tables. (It is a detailed view). I also have another view that is based on the first view. (It is a summary view). The detail view contains a field that I filter on. When I requery the summary view it is not filtering the data.

I even tried to 'hardcode' the parameter in my program, but it is a date and before the form loads I get a Enter Parameter dialog box, even though I have told the form to not load the data on opening the view. I gave up on the parameter and thought this would work as well, but it doesn't seem to look at the filtered detail view and use it to form the summary view. Is this a 'known' rule about views and filters, or am I missing something?

I did that and it doesnt help. Has anyone ever built a parameterized view where the parameter is a date, and got it to work?? Maybe that is where my original problem lies.
