Jason,
My new Corel Linux Box is on the Internet !!!!
I found why I was having so much trouble whenever
installing a new Linux. I was always changing my
hostname to something else then "localhost".
since you canno't change this setting without impact,
I though "let's go back to localhost"...
And yes I know, it's part of the Linux FAQ.
I was naming my Linux box. this is wrong since
I don't have a domain name !
I put back the old network setting and bingo !
my linux box is at
http://64.229.196.126 Even FTP is available. Now I will set a way
to keep connected with my NT box. NFS or something.
Weird, I cannot map locally my NT box( second computer
on the Hub). I must past by my ISP and get back in my
appartment(Inet IP addresses).
In my NT box, I have 2 network devices installed :
Sympatico PPPOE (virtual) IP is available
&
Realtek 8029 (physical) I can set a different IP
address on this machine for internal use.
But I don't see how I can set 2 IP addresses on
the same network card with my linux box...
ppp0 then ppp1 ?
