It's been a while since I did something like this, as VP has the Timer Event, removing the need to think of things like this!

From what I remember, when the user returned to the top level form in the application, I had one of the snippets call a function that included a DO WHILE loop & an INKEY.

After the INKEY time expired, a piece of code would check a table for the time of the last use in a record & compare it to the current time.

Depending on what happened from that, the application would return to the menu or quit completely.
