Check out the chat log from Jim Booth's "What does Dot Net mean to me" on the Wiki. This was talked about.

Basically the current standing is:

1. No we aren't in VFP 7. It hasn't been decided yet for future releases.
2. The log has some good reasons why we shouldn't be bothered with it. Personally, I'm not bothered by it because I believe we will lose too much in VFP if it were to conform. I'll need to learn a CLR compliant language to stay current but that doesn't bother me.
